Christopher grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa. After graduating from Bettendorf High School, Christopher attended the University of Iowa and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Christopher had a career in the non-profit sector, working with Iowa State Extension, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Goodwill Industries prior to enrolling at Drake University Law School. While at Drake, Christopher was a Public Service Scholar, a member of Equal Justice Works, and an Editor with the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law. While on staff with the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, Christopher's student Note, "Iowa's Agribusiness in a TIF" was published in the Fall 2009 edition of the journal and awarded as runner-up for Most Outstanding Student Note of the Year. While in law school, Christopher interned for the City of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Iowa Legal Aid, and the City of Des Moines, Iowa. He was also a student attorney at the Drake Legal Clinic with the Elder Law Clinic where he assisted elder Iowans with their legal needs. When not in the office, Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters and their black Labrador retriever.
